Life is so much like the ocean. There are cycles and waves.
In the past eight years of my life:
I have doubted my own self and my decisions.
My faith in God and humanity has wavered.
My health has faltered.
My heart has been splintered.
I have been disappointed in relationships.
Loved ones have died.
My ambitions have been trampled.
Curve balls have been thrown.
I have been lonely.
I have felt lost.
Through it all God has been faithful and to this day remains faithful.
And my faith, though wavering and at times almost nonexistent, has sustained me.
Praise be to God, my Sustainer. My hope is in you.

Therefore, my friends, since we have confidence to enter the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus,
by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain (that is, through his flesh),
and since we have a great priest over the house of God,
let us approach with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our
hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed
with pure water.
Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful.
And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

You can do and be whatever it is you want to do and be. Do not be dismayed or disheartened. I always go back to Psalm 118:8 where it says, "It is better to trust in GOD than to have confidence in men." People will ALWAYS disappoint you whether it is intentional or not. That is why you have to separate the anointing that someone has from the person. Never be awed by celebrity. People are people; we are all fallen beings but PRAISE GOD that His mercies are new every morning for everyone. As we aspire to walk worthy of HIS High Calling daily, never forget He has a purpose for your life. You are what the WORD OF GOD says you are. We all need to "shake off the dust" of the flesh and let the CHRIST IN US shine on through!
